Unclaimed listings

LedBy may create an unclaimed professional listing for an instructor or a studio using factual information that is already publicly available, including names, locations, the styles or class categories they publicly advertise, a venue where they are publicly listed as teaching, a publicly posted schedule, and their public website or social profile links.

Every unclaimed listing will be clearly designated as "Unclaimed profile" or similar. The inclusion of an unclaimed listing on our site does not suggest the person or studio created it, joined LedBy, verified anything, endorses us, is our partner or even knows we exist. Unclaimed listings are as accurate as the public data on which they are based and the process used to incorporate it into our listings, which is to say some information is likely to be outdated or otherwise inaccurate in many ways, for many reasons.

Listings created from a studio roster

Unclaimed listings may also appear on our site when a studio connects its scheduling system and authorizes LedBy to import the classes, instructor names, schedule information and other data so the studio can provide or obtain substitute coverage (Swap). Where an instructor on that roster has no LedBy account, we create an unclaimed listing for them, or link the schedule to their existing profile if we can match it confidently.

These listings follow exactly the same rules as any other unclaimed listing: they are labelled as "Unclaimed," they hold the same basic information, they never show a photo, they do not enable messaging anyone, and they never imply the instructor joined LedBy or agreed to anything. The studio does not own or control the listing and cannot claim it on the instructor’s behalf — only the instructor can claim it, correct it, or ask us to remove it, and removal is honored even if the studio would prefer otherwise. We strive to de-duplicate against existing profiles so a claim does not create a second copy of the same person.

What we do not publish

We do not intentionally publish personal phone numbers, private email addresses, home addresses, dates of birth, payment information, student lists, or any other private or sensitive information on an unclaimed listing. Instructor location is shown as a city or region, or as the public venue where they teach.

We do not copy third-party bios, testimonials, reviews or descriptive prose verbatim from other websites, and we do not import photos or logos unless we have permission to use that image. Unclaimed listings use a neutral LedBy avatar or initials instead. We link out to public websites and social profiles rather than reproducing what is on them. We do not display ratings, reviews, follower counts or activity that the person did not generate on LedBy.

No messaging until claimed

An unclaimed listing cannot send email or text messages, run campaigns, see student contact information, or take payments. Those capabilities exist only after someone claims the listing and we approve the claim.

Freshness

Publicly listed schedule information on an unclaimed page is shown as "publicly listed" and should be verified with the venue. We record internally when we last checked a public source, and we do not present information as current when we have not checked it recently.

Claiming, correcting, or removing a listing (Removal & Correction policy)

Every unclaimed page has a "Claim My Page" button and a "Report incorrect information or request removal" link. You can ask us to hand the page over, correct something, or take the listing down. You can also email hello@getledby.com.

Submitting a claim does not automatically give you access. LedBy reviews all such requests and may ask for additional documentation or information before granting ownership/admin rights. Such rights transfer only after approval and after you sign in with the verified email address. When we remove a listing, the page and its information disappear from the public directory and search; we keep an internal record of the request and removal so that we can document what happened and avoid recreating the listing by mistake.

Contacting us about a claim, correction or removal shall never be construed as your implied consent to receive marketing communications. Consent to marketing is separate and always opt-in.

Photos on unclaimed listings

An unclaimed listing never shows a photograph of a person. Even where a photo exists in our system, the page renders a LedBy gradient avatar with initials until the page is claimed and the owner uploads a photo they are authorized to use.

Claimed listings

Once a page is claimed and approved, the owner controls it, the unclaimed disclosure is removed, and normal LedBy terms apply to what they publish.
