Messaging Policy

The short version

• Only message people who opted in on your own LedBy page. Imported, bought or scraped lists are not allowed.
• Every email carries a working unsubscribe link. Every text carries STOP instructions.
• Identify yourself by name in every message so nobody has to guess who is writing.
• No promotions unrelated to your classes, no third-party marketing, no political or adult content.
• Texting only starts once your own dedicated number clears carrier registration.

Consent

You may only message people who opted in themselves on your LedBy page, for the channel you are using. Opting in to email is not consent to be texted, and the other way round. We record each consent with its wording, version and timestamp, and we will never send to an address without one. Uploading a list from a studio, a spreadsheet, another platform or a purchased source is not permitted, even if those people know you.

What you may send

Class schedules, changes and cancellations, new offerings, workshops and retreats you teach, and occasional updates about your own practice. Nothing else: no third-party advertising, no affiliate offers unrelated to your teaching, no political campaigning, no adult content, and nothing regulated such as loans, gambling or medical claims.

Opting out

Every email includes a one-click unsubscribe. Every text includes STOP instructions and honours STOP, STOPALL, UNSUBSCRIBE, END, QUIT and CANCEL automatically. Opt-outs are permanent and immediate, they are held on a suppression list, and you cannot re-add someone yourself — they have to opt in again on your page.

Identification and timing

Your name appears in every message so no one has to guess who is writing. Keep sends to reasonable hours in your students' local time, and keep the volume close to what you described when you applied.

Texting and carrier approval

Text messages in the United States require carrier registration of your business and your use case. LedBy handles the registration, but until it is approved your texting stays in test mode and only reaches verified test numbers. This is a carrier requirement, not a LedBy choice, and it usually takes a few weeks.

If the policy is broken

We monitor complaint, bounce and opt-out rates. If a send looks like it went to people who never opted in, we will pause your messaging and talk to you. Repeated or deliberate breaches end messaging access, because one bad sender damages deliverability for every instructor here.
