One approval assigns the session, and parents get a schedule that's actually true.
Offering to help is never the same as being assigned. A director of coaching approves every session unless you turn on pre-approval yourself.

Who's eligible to cover

- Current background check and safeguarding clearance
- Cleared for that age group
- Assigned to the club or that specific site
- Coaching license or certification level where the club requires it

A coach without a current clearance is never asked to cover a youth session.

Youth sports, answered
- Can we require a background check before a coach can cover?
- Yes. Clearance is an eligibility rule, so uncleared coaches never see a youth session in the first place.
- Most of our coaches are part-time or volunteers. Does that matter?
- No. Swap doesn't charge per person, and a coach only needs their phone to respond.
- Can a coach cover for another team in the club?
- If your rules allow it. You choose whether requests stay within a team, an age group or the whole club.
- Will our coaches be listed publicly?
- Not by you. An individual coach can claim a LedBy profile and choose to publish it themselves.
